Does my Double Cheeseburger meal at McDonald's yesterday count as a food report? The burger was cooked to perfection,  the fries were extra crispy with just the right amount of salt and the Coke was just as I like it - fizzy and served over over a generous amount of ice.  The $3.00 price tag made it a great value.

I might add that for the 6 p.m. dinner hour service was quick and friendly. All in all, it was a great dining experience and I would highly recommend McDonald's to anyone that is too damn lazy to cook.

Lisa, what an excellent review!  Makes me not want to cook today!  I may have to check out this fine dining establishment called McDonalds.

Fighting mad over gas prices! A man is stabbed during a fight over who should pay for gas. The two men were arrested on Wednesday and and were in court today. After pleading guilty to public intoxication, David Lunsford, who was stabbed, was released from jail after fighting with a friend over gas.

"I more than likely will speak to him in passing and say hey, if he wants me to give him a ride somewhere, absolutely not. I don't care if he's got twenty dollars for gas," says Lunsford.

The fight started after this man, Roger Gifford, who is still in jail, would not pay Lunsford for gas used in his car. The two men started fighting and Lunsford was stabbed in the stomach. But Lunsford doesn't blame his friend for what happened, but the high gas prices!

"The gas prices need to come down so people can afford to drive when they need to drive to go where they need to go. Sometimes to and from work," says Lunsford.

Gas in Athens is nearing four dollars and Lunsford says if it wasn't for that, the fight wouldn't have started. Now, he admits the fight shouldn't have escalated, but says gas prices are hurting people and this could happen to anyone. Lunsford says he and Gifford will remain friends as long as they don't talk about gas.

Lunsford says, "Its not going to get better its probably going to get worse. Hopefully not for me, this is over but what about the next persons situation? The next poor man's situation, what are we going to do then?"

Gifford, who was already on probation and was not released from jail. He will remain there until that probation is over, and will have to pay court fees and fines. Lunsford was ordered to pay court fees.

LOL!  Hey Jean, be sure and chip in for gas. I don't want to have to bail you and Lynn out of jail before we all even get to Tunica!

Lisa, Great Review!  If I hadn't eaten there before, I almost would have believed it. LOL.

That gas story is kind of scary.  Lucky for Jean I don't carry too many weapons, unless you want to count my lucky frog, and I don't think I'm willing to damage him any more.
