Post subject: Fitz Casino

Helle everyone. I am coming to Tunica Feb. 13-16th and was wondering if Fitz has been affected by the poor economy like the others have I have been reading about? I am from Illinois, so I discovered this neat web site and I love it. I could learn alot from it I hope. Thank you.

Welcome Tunicamama! Glad to have you aboard. From what I've heard, Fitz has been affected by the economy, as have all the casinos. I believe all of them have had layoffs and may continue to have more.
I think they all have periods of being very busy when it looks as if everything's great, but then there are times when it is extremely slow as well.
This time of the year is generally pretty slow for the casinos anyway, so I'm guessing by spring/summer there will be a much better idea of how things are going.

Thank you WILynn for your quick reply. I just hate to go and give them my money, but I guess that it a chance you take huh? We have always done really well at Fitz and they comp us well to so I hate for that to change. Again, thank you for your helpful information.

Fitz is one of the favorite stomping grounds for many of the posters here. I really didn't care for Fitz a whole lot when I first started going to Tunica, but it grew on me, and now it's one of my home bases. So far, the comps have been good and I seem to generally get a lot of play for my money, even if I don't win there. The improvements with the hotel renovations and in the buffet have been great positives as well.

I like the Fitz very much, especially since they have renovated the rooms. The comps have been fair there, they seem to appreciate the play you give them.
As Lynn stated, I believe it is hard times for all of the casinos. Only time will tell who survives the fall out with this economy.

Good luck on your trip Tunicamama! Are you staying at the Fitz? I sure like it there and can't wait to head there again myself.
