Mike maybe some one can chime in here with a good answer for that. I think the only thing we've eaten outside a casino is when we do chili pups with Stew. lol _________________

I don't usually leave the casinos long enough to eat, (although I've stopped for the occasional chili pup myself). But this trip (March 17 - 20), we're going to try Happy Daze pizza. I've heard it's good, and they have good sandwiches as well.
Anyone tried it? |

Mike, I'm with Pam on that one except for the chili pups thing. I don't do hot dogs. Haven't eaten outside of a casino in Tunica. Even in the casinos, end up doing mostly buffets. Usually there with a group, so the buffets make it quick and everyone can USUALLY find SOMETHING to eat there. I have eaten at the steakhouse at Fitz, the Atrium at GS, and the food court at GS and all have been pretty good, or at least what you'd expect. Food seems to be pretty hit or miss. Generally speaking, HS and now Paula Deen's (although I've only eaten there once, so don't really know too much about quality) have been my favorites. Fitz is usually pretty good. GS can be hit or miss, although they have, IMO the BEST bread pudding in Tunica. Jean and I agree on that one. I wasn't too impressed with Resorts.
Mel, hope you have a great trip to Tunica! Please post a trip report when you get back and let us know what you think of Happy Daze! _________________

I always try to plan just in case things to do, incase of funding disappearing too fast. _________________ "Sing like you never Sung Before" |

Mike,
If you will have a car, you might want to try the Blue and White Restaurant south on highway 61. It is real small town type restaurant. It has been a few years since I ate there but I remember enjoying the food and the atmosphere.
Of course, most of the casinos have great restaurants so there will be lots of pickings for you.
Hope this helps.

As of right now I don't have a car, but I am sure there are taxis and such. Mini vacation time. _________________ "Sing like you never Sung Before" |

Mike,
Sorry, there are NO Taxis in Tunica. You either have a car or you are stuck where you stay.
Blue Line Tours may work something out with you for a fee, but don't count on a taxi cause they just don't exist.
Sorry
Bobbie
