Naked bugular takes bath, cooks dinner, takes sheet

SLIDELL, La. --

Slidell, La. police are looking for a man who they said broke into a country club home while completely nude, taking a shower and cooking himself dinner before leaving with nothing but a white bed sheet.

Slidell police released this altered surveillance image of the naked burglar.

Investigators said it happened around 1 a.m. Monday at a home in the Country Club Estates Subdivision off Robert Boulevard. The homeowner's video surveillance system captured the entire event.

The video shows the naked man used the home's garden hose to take a bath in the driveway, police said. He then knocked on the home's front door, got no response, and then walked to the back yard.

The man then sat in a chair and pulled a trash bag over himself, police said. Then he removed the bag and began breaking out windows to get inside the house, police said.

Police said the man then entered the home and ransacked it. He cooked himself some food and had a few drinks before taking another shower inside the house, police said.

The man then wrapped a white sheet around himself and walked out the front door. The sheet was the only item taken from the house, police said.

"It appears that the man is either drunk or under the influence of drugs," Police Chief Freddy Drennan said. "We are hoping that the public recognizes the man and gives us a call. I would be interested to hear his story, and why he was naked, and what was he thinking."
