My flight touched down 15 minutes early Sunday morning in Memphis so we had to sit on the tarp waiting for a gate to open up.  Needless to say we arrived 10 minutes late at the gate.

I got my luggage and waited for my friend to pick me up.  On the way to the casino we stopped at a local grocery store for some diet soda.

Arrived at GS around 11:00 a.m. with luggage and soda and was told I could check in around 2:30 or 3:00 p.m.  I looked around hoping to see Lynn but did not.

I sat down at a table and began playing blackjack.  I have to admit I am very disappointed with GS.  They have bumped almost all pitch games to $25 with the exception of one table.  Very few $5 tables and many $10 shoe games.  Last time I was at GS it was much easier to get a $10 pitch game.   I must assume that MGM has made all these changes??

I played until it was time to have lunch.  I went to the Atrium and had a nice lunch and when I was done eating it was time to check in.  After checking in and unpacking and putting soda in the fridge I went back downstairs and continued playing.

I watched a man playing blackjack at my table bet $500 and lose it all.  He just walked away without any emotion.  I would have cryed if that had been my bet.

I really did not keep a diary of my wins and losses but since I play with chips I knew for a fact that when I finished gambling Tuesday evening I was up $25.00.  It is always a nice feeling when I bring all of my gambling funds home.

As always, I had a good time, saw some of my dealer friends, and my Casino Host.  She mentioned your name Lynn, when we spoke.

Wednesday morning I paid off my marker and then my friend came to pick me up around 10:00 a.m.  She wanted me to see her new home so we stopped there for a few minutes and then we went to lunch at a Mexican restaurant and had some authentic Mexican food.   Right after lunch she took me to the airport.

Since I did not lose any gambling money I upgraded my ticket and flew home first class for a small fee.

I was glad to be back at home.  Vacations are wonderful but there is no place like home.

Bobbie

Way to go Bobbie!  Bringing home all your gambling money is fantastic!  Just wish I could bring half mine home!  lol  That would even be a winning trip for me!  lol  Whether I bring home money or not is still a win in my book especially if you get to spend some time with some great friends on this board!  We truly have a wonderful time whether we are losing or winning!  Can't wait until September gets here just so I can spend time with all my great friends once again!  Thanks for posting!

Bobbie, it sounds like a great trip.  Hey, you got to play, and you even left $25 up!  That's a sure winner.  We probably just missed you.  At 11:00 a.m. we were up in the room finishing packing up before checking out.  We left town after checking out.  I had thought we might play a little longer, but Dave was DONE!  Yeah, I talked to Sharon on Tuesday and she said she'd talked to you.  Hope she wasn't mentioning my name in vain. LOL.  Thanks for the report, Bobbie.

Way to go Bobbie. I do not know if you have been to Horseshoe Hammond but they have many table games. Many people playing.Last several times we have played the slots there we found that the money gets a lot more play. Hope to go Tuesday.Eleanor left ahead, I was down about $20.00. Not bad for length of time played.
