Am looking to come to Tunicia for the first time lookin for my bride and I to enter a slot tournmment,, we are new to all this,, empty nesters,, without a ton of money,, but looking for nice time,, and fun,,, is there a site or link that lists the schedule for slot tournments,, anyway to get that first trip comp???? or any hints for first time slot players in this area? thanks in advance

As far as getting your first trip comped, you would need to pay up front, then play and check with a casino host to see about getting something knocked off your room rates.

Welcome, baldbubba. As Brian said, without any gaming history, you are unlikely to be comped any rooms up front. I'm not sure where you're staying, but the best bet is to focus the majority of your play where you are staying, and check with a host before you check out to see if you can get anything off. Of course, you should NEVER play for comps. It's a losing proposition. Trust me on that. LOL.

Meal comps are a little easier to come by in Tunica usually. Make sure you get a player's club card for everywhere you are playing and USE it each and every time you play. Make sure it registers. If you want to go eat somewhere, check with the player's club desk before eating to see if you have any food comps. All they can do is say no.

Drinks are complimentary on the casino floor if you're playing, but please remember to tip the cocktail waitress.

I know the Tunica Convention and Visitors Bureau has a Tunica book that used to have a few coupons in it if you had it mailed to you. Mostly 2 for 1 buffets, but better than nothing. If you stopped to get it in town, there weren't any coupons. There's a link on the site to them if you'd care to request it.

thanks eveyone for your help and info,,,, we are looking forward to coming down first or second weekend of May,, our welfare checks come in first of the month (we both are retired govt. workers),, looking for maybe memphis in may bar-b-que,, we hear thurs is the best day to come for that... hey once again thanks for your help,,, gotta find some great pizzia in the area,, nothing we old pollocks like more than cold beer and good pizzia!! have a great day!
