Post subject: Some good news

Hollywood has apparently seen the error of their ways and has installed some full pay VP. 9/6 JB 9/6 DDB in quarters and 50 cents. Now if I just had a spare quarter........................
Plus they stopped sending us mail a long time ago so I suppose I won't be seeing an invitation to play. But it's good to know that maybe just maybe they realize the better games will bring in more people. Of course it could be too late for them anyway, as many of the casinos appear to be in dire straights. If any of them hope to make it through this financial tsunami better games won't hurt!
Hope to hear more casinos add a few more games players really have a shot at. Then when we get through the mess we will have something to look forward to besides food stamps and spam!
Cheers

A ray of sunshine in all of this mess is more than welcome. I would like to add, we received a letter last week from a host there, introducing himself, and yesterday we got mailers with a minimal amount of cash. First time in a long time that we have received anything. Perhaps desperation has set in. _________________

We made a quick visit to Hollywood on last week. I haven't been there for a long time, but things looked about the same. They seem to be courting the nickel video poker players who aren't concerned about pay tables. They were pretty busy when I was there.
I was very ineffective at scouting machines. I walked what I thought was the entire casino, and couldn't find any full pay machines. I kept running into 8/5 and 7/5 J0B and 9/6 Double Bonus. I decided that the full pay quarter machines weren't available - until we were leaving. Then I saw an ad mentioning full pay quarters. We didn't resume or search or ask for help since we were heading for supper. Does anyone know where the new machines are, and what is on the machines? Sorry I can't provide that information.
One note: is Hollywood the last place in Tunica that has self-serve soda machines? |

Math Man, I can only answer your last question. Unfortunately, HW is the only casino left in casino with self-serve soda machines. That's a change I hated to see come to Tunica. I don't mind tipping at all, but it's either that I'm moving around and can't get anything to drink, or no one even comes around. It was always so convenient to go get your own. I've taken to going to the gift shop and buying one and carrying it around with me.
