$1 WOF hit again in BiloxiNo story to go with this one, but I found this picture while I was browsing the internet and caption said it was taken on April 17, 2009 at Beau Rivage in Biloxi.

I only caught the end of the story this morning on the news, but someone hit for several hundred thousand on WOF over here at the local Cherokee. I'll try to get the rest of the story tonight.
I've only played those machines a couple of times because there is hardly anyone ever on them. I figured they must be really tight. Right.

Just about all of the WOF machines at all the casinos are set in the upper 80's and lower 90% range

Any stories? Maybe the picture was posted by a friend. Hopefully it wasn't a short coin story.

Here's the one from Biloxi...
| Quote: | BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - A North Carolina woman can almost boast of being a millionaire after hitting it big at a Biloxi casino.
Beau Rivage Resort and Casino officials say 56-year-old Diane Harrison Kennedy won $998,102 on Friday while playing a Wheel of Fortune progressive slot machine. Her payout came after she'd put only $40 into the machine.
Kennedy says she was in Biloxi for a conference and decided to go have fun at the casino during her free time.
"I was completely shocked," she said. "But, I've always dreamed I would hit the big one, so I guess dreams really do come true."
Kennedy, who is self-employed, says she plans to continue working and use her winnings to pay off debts and buy a new car. |
And here's Lisa's....
| Quote: | Watts, Okla. – The Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs awarded an impressive $487,422 Wheel of Fortune® MegaJackpot® on Sunday, May 24th.
The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, said he came to the casino for a barbeque and moved to the winning machine when another machine was not paying. Incredibly, after investing only $20 into the winning machine, the winner was surprised to learn he had won the top progressive prize saying the first thought that went through his mind was, “where is my wife?” When asked about immediate plans, the MegaJackpot® winner reported that he will continue working and plans to use his winnings to “pay some bills.”
Sunday’s MegaJackpot® is the first to be paid so far this year, and the second ever to be awarded at the casino. In March 2007, the casino paid an incredible $385,554 MegaJackpot® that hit on a Beverly Hillbillies' penny machine. <SNIP> (cut out the rest of the press release fluffing the casino.) |
At this point we're lead to believe there are no cameras at the Cherokee casinos, although IGT requires a photo to be taken of the winner for publicity purposes.

I think there must have been a mistake in the Biloxi story. The person put in $40? I thought everyone who won only put in $20!
