It’s hard to believe it’s already come and gone. It goes from “Are we there yet?” to “Damn, where did the time go?” So here’s a jumbled trip report of things I remember. LOL

Me & Chuck head to my sisters house in Rome on Saturday to spend the night and pick up my sister Bev. We head out early Sunday morning and arrive sometime that afternoon. FINALLY! I try to call Jean when I see the first casino but it goes to her voice mail. When we get off the elevators from the parking garage at Fitz I see her coming out the casino door. I thought she’d seen us and was coming out to meet us, but no, she was looking at her cell phone and getting ready to call me back I believe. I’m yelling and waving my arms and she finally spots us. LOL

We go in and meet up with the rest of the crew and then scatter to different slots to play before we try and get checked in. It’s so great to finally see everyone after such a long time! I wouldn’t trade this group for anything!! They are all getting their 50 points to enter the Fitz slot tournament. I’m in slow motion just walking around seeing what all is different so I didn’t make the deadline. Chuck made it and entered his first ever slot tournament. He didn’t place but one member of our group did great! Jeanine came in 2nd and won bunches of slot play! WTG Jeanine!! We also get to meet up with a new forum member Jim and his friend Frank. They were just super nice and I’m so glad we got to meet up.

I’m not doing too bad, up and down but staying around even….until we eat. We have a nice dinner and Brian somehow ends up with a ladybug infestation on the table in front of him. LOL Then after dinner it starts to go downhill. Am I still having fun? Damn skippy I am. LOL

I jump around to different machines trying to get something going and of course run into different members of the group and chat. I’m finally winding down and decide to go up and see if Chuck is still on the 2nd floor playing video poker. He is and has been there for at least 4 ½ hours at that point with his original twenty in there. I ask him if he’s ready to go to the room and he decides to play until his twenty is either gone or he hits something good. He hands me a twenty and says go play. I end up playing on 4-5 different machines and end up with the original twenty. I cash it out and take it back to him and say, here ya go, I’m going to bed. He’s still playing. ME going to bed before him????? What’s up with that….that never happens. LOL I go up and hmmm, there’s a ladybug on my door handle. Wonder where that came from? Oh…did I mention Brians room was right next to mine? LOL I get in bed and a little bit later Chuck comes in right before I fall asleep. He played on that one nickel video poker machine for over 6 hours on a twenty. I think he got his moneys worth. LOL

Monday I know we weren’t in the mood for breakfast so we got ready and headed into the casino to see who else was wandering around. I do remember I didn’t play any before we headed out. We drop by Lynn’s car to transfer some books that Jean had brought me, over to our truck. Chuck, me and Bev then headed over to Sam’s Town to play for a bit before we headed over to Harrahs for our late lunch at Paula Deens with everyone.

It didn’t start out well at Sams Town but it picked up. I ended up cashing out a little ahead or at least even. Thanks to a Lil Lady slot. We played for a bit then headed on over to Harrahs. Now gambling here totally sucked for me. I did get a few machines to play nice but I played more that didn’t.

The lunch at Paula Deens was really good, except for the Crème Brulee, it was runny. I was really looking forward to the chicken fried steak Jean told me about, but of course they didn’t have it this time. Oh well, just another excuse to try it again with Lisa. LOL We ate and talked and then made our way out of the buffet slowly. Of course I tripped going in and coming out and of course Brian saw it both times. LOL Me and Brian managed to find a HOT area of a casino. Hot as in temperature. I mean if you stayed down at that end you’d be sweating in minutes…don’t know what was up with that. It was at one end of Harrahs on the 1st floor. Believe me…I wish I meant HOT as in the machines were spitting out money at us. LOL

I was going to go to Resorts to see if they still had my nickel Munster machine but I was ready to head back to Fitz and so was Chuck & Bev. I’ll have to look for it next time. Get back to the Fitz and play more…of course. This is the night I find Bev on a Jackpot party slot machine….the old ones…nickel and no TITO. Of course she didn’t realize it until AFTER she put her money in. LOL These are the very first slot machine I ever played in a casino, so she talked me into putting money in one. I put a five so if I decided to cash out it wouldn’t be too bad. LOL Well, didn’t have to worry about that, it sucked up that five and burped. She decided to try one over next to me and cashed out her other machine. She put a few coins in and got it going and ended up getting it up over the 1000 nickel mark which constitutes a hand pay. LOL She handed me the coin bucket and said here, try a few of these. Well, I did, and got it going for a little and then I decided to stick another five in I believe. I got lucky and got mine up over a thousand nickels and hit cashout so I’d get a hand pay too. LOL If I remember correctly we both cashed out with 1003 nickels. Now we’re off to wash our hands. LOL We had a blast reliving my first casino trip..black fingers and all. LOL

I stayed up quite late this night trying to get something going. I ended up sitting down at a Survivor slot close to the front door. I stuck a twenty in it and played for quite a while cashing out at seventy. While I was sitting there playing Chuck came by heading to bed and handed me 2 twenties to play with. I took those over to a Stinkin Rich slot and stuck one in. It went up and down and finally all the way down and I decided to stick the 2nd one in. I was down to a whopping $1.69 when I hit the bonus round for 25 spins and retriggered for 30 more. I ended up cashing that out at $150.00. I had Lynn & Bev there keeping me company and after I cashed out my tickets we all headed to bed. Yep, the ladybug is still on my door handle. LOL

Today we all are getting ready to move over to the Gold Strike. We all meet for breakfast and spend time with Brian since he’s leaving today. Brian, one of these days you’ll make it the full 4. LOL Had a fun time at breakfast and then go get checked out.

All of us arrive at Gold Strike and as we are coming out of the elevator we run into some very familiar faces….Ed & Cay. We stand around chatting for a while with them and make plans to have dinner together later. They head off to another casino and we head into the casino with plans to meet up a little later to see about checking in.

Well, I can tell you this…Stinkin Rich showed me no love at all at Gold Strike. I played the machine next to the escalators and it stunk alright, but of course this is the one that loved Lynn. LOL I then went and played some old nickel slant tops near the buffet with Bev & Jean. Chuck found us and sat down and played too. I was up and down for a bit then lost it so decided to find something else. I then found a Lil’ Lady slant top slot not far from where I’d left Chuck, Jean & Bev.

I sat down and inserted a $20 and started playing at 40 cents a spin. I was getting some pretty good hits and an occasional bonus round that never amounted to much. Then in one spin the almost the whole screen filled up with ladybugs for a whopping $179.00. I was stunned. Ok, I think I’m really liking this ladybug machine. LOL I played it for a little while longer cashing out somewhere between $150 & $160. I didn’t write anything down so I’m going by what little memory I have. LOL I will definitely be visiting this machine again.

I know I played a Lion Dance slot which is pretty much like the Lil’ Lady with different symbols. I’m pretty sure I cashed out ahead on this one too by a little bit anyway. I jumped around playing pennies, nickels, quarters and dollars, some wins and of course plenty of losses too. lol I also played other Lil’ Lady machines there too. Some I did good on and others not so good. Sometimes Jean or Bev would sit next to me and play whatever while we chatted. Was I having a blast? Oh Hell Yeah! LOL

We all met up at the buffet for dinner, Ed was there but Cay wasn’t feeling up to it so Ed braved dinner with us. LOL We had a lot of fun catching up and just gabbing. When we waddled out we all headed to slots while Ed headed up to take Cay something to eat. Hopefully next time Cay will feel up to having dinner with us. Ed, so glad you joined us, you and Chuck have fun talking Air Force stuff. Lol

I then found myself in a place where nobody could find me I just didn’t know it. LOL Figures…I was lost and didn’t know it. LOL For some reason that corner nobody ever checked I had been playing yet another Lil’ Lady slot that I’d found close to the bathroom on the left heading back towards the buffet. I know I sat there for quite a long time. I think Chuck walked the casino 4 times until finally giving up and going to the room. I tracked him down a few phone calls later after I found out he’d been looking for me. LOL Not long after than I went up and talked to him for a bit then headed over to the room where Bev in Jean were hanging out already in their jammies. LOL We chatted and laughed for a while and then I headed for the room to shower and head to bed with plans of getting an early start in the morning. Lil’ Lady was waiting on me ya know! LOL!

Up around 6 am get dressed and head on down and head straight to my favorite slant top Lil’ lady machine. I’m sitting there playing and this machine is in a good mood this morning. I stuck in a $20 and got it up to $100, cashed out and stuck another twenty in. My phone rings and it’s Bev, her and Jean are at Horseshoe playing their 30 minutes to get the free buffet for later tonight. It was a promotion that HS had going on for that month. Bev asks where I am so she can bring me a white chocolate mocha from Starbucks. Good stuff! Thanks Sis. They sit there with me and we chat for a while, with this machine still playing nice. They wander off to seek a playing nice machine while I continue on with this one.

I get it up to around $70, cash out and stick another $20 in. I know I sat at this machine for hours. Ed & Cay came walking by me on their way to breakfast and stopped and chatted. I was still sitting there when they came out of the buffet. LOL Ed decided this was either a good thing or a bad thing. LOL I told him, this time……it was a good thing. LOL I ended up cashing $60 twice, a $40 and an $80 on this machine, I definitely played it while it was hot and didn’t leave till it got tired. LOL I know I sat there for hours playing that machine. When I took all my tickets to cash them out I had $410.00. Every time I’d get a ticket up to a decent amount I’d cash it out and stick another $20 in to see if it would still play. At GS this trip this was definitely my favorite machine.

While I was still playing that machine, Bev and Jean walked back up and while we were talking here comes Chuck. He had his first run in with a hooker at GS. She told him he looked like a nice man and then asked him if he was there with his wife…which he quickly replied…YEP she’s right over there. LOL I wish I could have seen his face. LOL Good thing after she found out he had a wife she decided to move on. So I didn’t have to get Scrappy, which y’all know I’m capable of. LOL Stew, as you can see, he ordered the soup!! ROFL

Me and Chuck had set up a time to meet and head over to HS to play our 30 minutes for our buffet. Of course we played longer than that. LOL I cashed out ahead there and he was down. So we came combined either even, or a little ahead, wow, I think we actually got 2 free buffets. LOL! Imagine that! Before we leave I call and see if Bev is still downstairs at GS playing and asked her if she’d like a mocha from Starbucks since we were there. So, we headed to Starbucks, got the mochas and headed back to GS to give Bev hers and play more. I think Chuck headed up for a nap and I headed to Lynns suite to take some pictures and just chill out with the gang. Chuck was determined to get some much needed rest on this trip and I think he succeeded. We all head back down to get entered into the slot tournament and then to play until it’s time to go back up and slap buttons. LOL

I of course bounce around playing all kinds of machines, but none of them came close to playing nice like my ladybugs did. I did have a fun time on a $1 double diamond that let me play for a while before taking my money. We all head up a little before our slot tournament begins. We get up there and it sounds like popcorn popping with all the button slapping going on. LOL This is my first tournament. I didn’t do well at all.

After we finish our round we go over to HS for dinner. We have a fun time as usual until Lynn decides we need to see if the red velvet cake taste funny to us too. LOL Yep, it did, it sure didn’t taste like any red velvet cake I’d ever had or wanted to have again. LOL That Lynn, she’s such a sharing person. LOL After dinner we all head back to GS. We play around a while until we have to meet back upstairs for the wild card drawing for free play in the slot tournament and to see if anybody won anything. One in our group (Jean) got into the money. I think it was $100 in free play, WTG Jean. Our group had two winners this trip in slot tournaments. Jeanine at Fitz and Jean at GS. After this Chuck plays for a bit and then heads on up to the room and I think Jean & Bev do too. I’m not ready to give it up yet, it’s the last night! LOL

I play for a while not doing anything great and then just downright losing so I end up calling it a night. I really hate the last night knowing you’ll be telling everyone goodbye the next morning.

Up the next morning get our stuff together and get ready to meet everyone for breakfast. We enjoy a nice breakfast dreading what was coming up soon. Those damn goodbyes!!
We finished breakfast and pretty much said goodbye then and hugs all around. We all played for a little bit longer, I guess we just weren’t ready to give it up yet. LOL Jean, Lynn & Jeanine left first and we left not to long afterwards.

This was as usual another great trip with some of the most wonderful people I know. It was really great meeting Jim & Frank, hope they make the next one. They do seem to fit in with this nutty crowd. LOL We were missing a few in our list of characters: Stew, Lisa, Bruce, Bobbie & Luna. Bobbie, so sorry your trip got cancelled, that really stinks. Hopefully things will work out for everyone the next time. Get all of this group together and we can really paint Tunica red. LOL and black! ROFL

I’m sure there’s plenty I’ve forgotten and left out. If y’all see it, hell add it to it. LOL
We didn’t come home with more money than we took but we did manage to bring some back with us, and even if we hadn’t……So What! We had a blast!! You just can’t put a price tag on the fun we had and the people we shared it with.

Love you guys, and I’m ready to start saying…….Are we there yet????????????

Pam, great report! You did an excellent job of telling the tale. LOL I especially enjoy reading about your play since I think we use about the same method - move around and around till ya find something you can sit on for a long time. And if ya don't find something, just keep on moving. We know how to get it done, right? LOL Good job on your wins!

I was also happy to hear thet Chuck had a good long run of VP on a single $20. Nice to get some play in without having to keep coughing up more and more cash. Also, pleased that he chose the "soup". Always a good choice. LOL

All in all, I know you had the fun trip that you were deperately in need of. However, I think you nee another one.......with the rest of the missing pieces of the puzzle. LOL

Pam, great report for a great trip. Of course, they're all great trips! I'm such a giving person, how could I NOT share the Red Velvet Cake. I think everyone but Jeanine (she's known me for MUCH too long) was forced into trying a bite. LOL. Glad Chuck chose the soup, too, cause I'm not too sure we could have come up with the bail money at that time. LOL. I'm sure it was a tough decision for him.......NOT!

Hope we can get EVERYONE there one trip, that would be a blast! Win or lose it's fun. Thanks for taking all the great pics! There's even a couple on there of Brian smiling! I think you'd have to have a stick up your hiney to NOT have fun with this gang!
