Well it wasn't Tunica but it sure was a whole lot of fun! The cast of characterss included my son, daughter-inlaw grand daughter my mom and me! Perry didn't want to go because he knew he couldn't drag us out of there in less then 4 hours!

Olivia, who is 3, has never been to the a fair! I asked her if she was ready to go to the carnival and she immediately corrected me saying SHE was going to a fair . Okay, I never argue with 3 year olds.

Got there early to avoid the crowds and were happy to see it wasn't packed, Olivia was awed by everything! It was fun just watching her. It's amazing to see how fearless the little ones are, She rode the bumble bees, the elephants, the dragons and the little roller coaster with her mom, who only stands 4'10 and was allowed to ride the baby coaster, LOL.

She got to ride the Ferris wheel with mom & Dad. We ate funnel cakes and corn dogs, which she wolfed down because her mother told her there would be no more rides unless she ate it all. I never did get my cotton candy, we were too busy running from ride to ride. Everytime Olivia got off a ride she would high five someone, anyone, didn't matter who. She was so proud to be on the rides alone! She never did get the idea of physics, we kept telling her if she pushed the bar in front of her she could go up and down, well she figured out up but never would come down.

The kids had their pix taken with two trained (and very friendly) seals. We played skee ball, facination and lots of other (expensive) games which usually resulted in a new stuffed toy for Miss Olivia. I think when we left, she had 2 stuffed dolphins, a dragon, a kitty cat, a small guitar, lots of beads and fancies! She had a ball. never once whined or complained. We even got to watch the pig races. My mom was disappointed she couldn't place a bet!

They had a really cute petting zoo, I wished I could have taken some of those baby animals home with me.

The only ride I rode was the Merry-go-round with Olivia. I stood beside her, holding onto her so she wouldn't fall. She kept moving my hands off of her because.......well.........she's 3 and can do it by herself. The only problem with that was that I NEEDED something to hold onto, you get dizzy really quick standing there going around in circles!

I couldn't have asked for a better birthday! The kids all had fun and my mom finally found something to do, they had keno and a lottery near the back. I was glad she hadn't found it sooner or we would have never seen her again!

It was a VERY good day!

Luna, absolutely no wise cracks from me on this TR!! It is great and the pix really help tell the story. It's easy to see by the look on your face that you were having a wonderful time with the "Light of your life" on that merry-go-round. All the pix are great and the trip sounds so good! It sure takes me back to the days with my girls at the "Fair."

Loved your birthday trip to the fair! Isn't it so fun to see it all through the eyes of a 3 year olds first time at the fair. Looks like everyone had a great time. I loved all the pictures, and your granddaughter is such a darling.
