BEWARE OF SCAMMERS ASKING FOR ADMIN ACCESS. WE NEVER ASK FOR ACCESS.

Cherokee TripDrove over to Cherokee Casino yesterday. Pulled in and found that parking was easy. Way too easy. No crowd. How nice. NOT! Upon entering, I would estimate (conservatively) that at least 30% of the machines were gone. BooHoo! Probably more. And what remained was a mighty sad selection. With the new casino preparing to open in a couple of weeks, I will assume that explains the missing inventory.
Obviously, it was not the most fun casino day I've ever had. There were a few games that were just okay. and some "just okay", but mediocre VP, Nothing that really knocked a kid's socks off. Of course, we went ahead and played around here and there. I have the strongest suspicion though, that my glum face was seen by the gambling gods, to which they saw it fit to ensure that I lost every penny I played. Getting a credit or bouns round was like pulling teeth. I believe the best thing I got on VP was one full house. Depressing.
On the other hand, my partner in crime was having a decent day. Thank goodness for that, as I was out of money in less than 2 hours. Don't think I've ever run totally dry before in any casino. The pain was horrific. The blood was flowing and I was so ready to take my sorry self home and eat worms in the back yard. However, being the kind natured guy he is, my dear husband said he'd cashed out enough to keep us afloat for the rest of the afternoon, and proceeded to share the wealth.! It wasn't enough to retire on, only a few hundred, but at the time it looked like a HUGE pot of gold to me. So, we split it up and I headed off for my second chance try. In the end though, Bruce had netted a little more loot. But me, being more lucky than usual (hear the sarcasm?), managed to lose every stinking penny. That's when we dediced to get the heck of that place.
We did stop over at the Smoke Shop. I didn't want to, but Bruce always like to go in there and play a couple of machines to make the trip complete. And of course, against all good judgement, he loaded me up a Lobster game to keep me entertained and out of his hair. That's when it got really good and I saw my first profit for the day. Yep. I netted a whole, whopping, $10!!!! LOL I was feeling hot then, so I took that and put it in some kind of a quarter game I wasn't familiar with. And by golly, I netted another big $10! That made me the big winner at the Smoke Shop! LOL
Needless to say, we are not going back to Cherokee, West Silaom Springs, until the new casino is open. What we would really prefer to do is visit Tunica around Christmas. Not sure how this will work out, but the gambling, the casinos and the food are a hundred times better and well worth the wait.

Awww Lisa, sorry to hear how mean and stingy the casinos were being to you. You should have broke something on the way out, LOL. At least Bruce kept the coffers replenished for a while. I hate that feeling of being a loser all the time, which is why we tend to stay away these days.
Hope to hear when the new casino opens your luck will have changed signifigantly. Maybe at least they will send you some nice offers.
Cheers

Lisa, what a bummer. 1st to get to the casino and have such a meager selection of machines, then to proceed to lose on all of them. I'm glad Bruce was able to keep you afloat for awhile. Hopefully your luck will change when the new location opens. That's probably where all the good machines went! Glad you at least got out for awhile. You needed a break.

Well darn it anyway! How dare they treat you that way, don't they know (insert Pam's phrase here). Here you have waited all this time for a gambling trip and they go and close 70% of the place down. I have a feeling they knew just what machines you'd play and took them out. The paying ones, so it seems. Sure glad Bruce was holding his own, it's always nice to have your banker with you on those losing trips.
At least you got out and had some fun, hopefully it's better when the new casino opens.
Now it's time to go open some more boxes.....

Despite my losing ways, we did enjoy getting out of the house. And those wonderful quesdillas I had before coming home sure didn't hurt anything.
Jean, what boxes??? I don't see any boxes.

Hey Lisa,
Well darn it all, I was hoping to see a big win. Maybe when that new casino opens your machines will be there ready and waiting to pay you.
I know you were so looking forward to this trip and I sure wish it had of been better but hey, Bruce kept y'all in there, can't beat that. lol
I'm glad to hear you got some great quesadilla's and didn't have to go home and eat those worms. lol
Tomorrow is our big casino dinner cruise, we'll see how this goes. lol I wonder if they'll let us bring fishing poles if the gambling sucks?? LOL
You'll get em next time Lisa!!

Pam, I hope the slots are paying out so well that you won't be looking for something else to do. Although, I've never really anything against fishing.
