gathering of some friendswell we arrived around 3 pm sat evening got checked in,was tired from the drive,so i had coffee,fran went to the buffet to eat and i went over to the horse shoe to eat and meet one of my friends and to gamble a little,in which very little i did but i managed to win a little at the horseshoe ,so i had some freeplay at the goldstrike so i went over there and finally i had won alittle there so far so good i hadnt won much but i played for a while,went to the fitz,now i start to lose i lost a few hundred .so i decided to go to the room and watch t.v and go to bed got up the next morning and called jean and lynn to see were they where well they were downstairs with stew and bev so they came up to the room,it was so nice to meet them/they are wonderful people ,its nice to put a face to someone you have talked to for a long time,we had a good conversation talked for a couple hours i guess,we decided to meet at the buffet to eat at 5;45 that evening and edd ,donna and keno was there,but stew had wondered off he was on the crap table when i found him but he came on up to eat,we had a very good dinner keno brought littke goodie bags very nice,and lynn and jean had bags for everyone,i really liked the cards and ink pens the other stuff that was in the bag was very nice,we got done eating and jean had a DVD for us to watch so we went to our room to watch it on stews laptop everyone was there to watch we had a good time but the night wasnt over yet stew had a trick he showed up it was a good one well we said our goodbyes and everyone left for the night ,i went to the 3rd floor to play some because we had to leave the next morning so i was playing a star slot i won a few dollars not much but some atleast....we got up and the rest is history i hope you enjoy i sure missed brian and lisa not being there i was looking forward to meeting them also

G - I am so glad you made the trip and got to meet up with part of gang face to face. I know it was a good time. And those shirts! WAYYY NICE! They really show up great in the group photo. All the pics were good!
It sure did hurt not getting to join in on the fun, but next time, I WILL NOT MISS OUT. Hopefully, all of us will be there.

G, loved the pictures! So glad y'all got to meet up. I can tell y'all were really having a great time. This having to stay behind and get settled in stuff is for the birds. LOL!

Gman, it was nice getting to know you and your lovely wife, Fran. It makes chat more interesting when you can put faces to the chat. Glad you liked the goodie bags. My trip report to follow as soon as I recuperate from Tunica and the long trip home.

Thanks for the trip report, enjoyed it and the pictures! Looks like a good time for everyone. Now if those chronic gamblers would just get home............I think maybe they plan to live there indefinatlely.

Lynn and I got here last night about 8pm, we zoned out after watching the debate on tv. Lynn left for WI this morning and she is now back in the nest. Stew called and he was to arrive in Austin about 4pm. I talked to Pam, and she reported that Bev and Buffy are back from the Biloxi leg of the trip. So all the birds are back in the nest now. 
Gary and Fran it was just great meeting you both, as you said, it is so nice to meet in person after chatting for so long. Sure enjoyed the time we spent talking and laughing, everyone is always laughing about something and that is icing on the cake for these meets.
The gift bags were wonderful, and as proud as I would be to have done that, it was all Lynn and Brian that did the work designing and getting those together for everyone. They did a really great job and I thank them also. The shirts were all a surprise also, Brian and Lynn designed them, all we knew was that they were going to be black...LOL.
Tell Fran "Hey" for me and that I was so happy to meet her, she is a jewel.
I look forward to the next time we all get together!
Loved the trip report and the pictures were great.
PS:
Lisa and Brian, I think it crossed our minds (?) when we turned to show the backs of the shirts, but we didn't want to get banned from the board.

G, it was great to finally meet you and your lovely wife Fran. What a great trip! Sure had a good time, but, like others mentioned, the ones that couldn't come were surely missed. Life gets in the way somehow. LOL.
Ya'll can't tell because the chair's in the way, but actually I was mooning the camera. ROFL. Guess you'll never know now!
G, thanks so much to you and Fran for having us all up to your suite to chat and get together. It was wonderful.

Great trip report and fantastic pictures. Gee, I wish I could have been there but, oh well. Next year for sure. Glad you got to meet the gang. They are a great bunch of people.

Gary I'm sorry to be so late in answering. I travelled a bit and landed in
Texas on Friday night. Then with birthdays to celebrate and so many places to go, I just haven't been able to train this laptop yet. So anything I type that is legible is a bonus.
It was super great to finally meet you and Fran. I am so glad we had that opportunity! Thanks for having us up to your suite for the refreshments, chat and dvd presentation-- sorry we couldn't get the laptop to working better-- but the dvd that Lynn made was great wasn't it?
What a job she did on that--- Thanks to lynn and whoever helped, if anyone did. Meeting y'all was great and so were all the meals together.
with all the fun we had and all the food we ate, there's no way we couldn't have a good time.
