Horseshoe Buffet-April 2008

Ate at Horseshoe buffet Monday night.  I was a little nervous, as the last time I'd eaten there was not a very good experience.  Horseshoe used to be my favorite buffet in Tunica, but the bad experience coupled with the Harrah's takeover made me wary to try it again.

My concerns turned out to be unfounded.  I found the buffet to be very nice.  There was a large selection with many stations.  It started off a little rocky for me, with the 1st few stations not having much that appealed to me.  I started taking some items, because I thought I wouldn't find very much interesting.  I found, for me, that the type of food I enjoy the most (southern fare and oriental) was found in the last couple of stations, and there was an abundance of wonderful food there.  There was also a wonderful dessert selection as well.  The company at dinner was great, and I would once again recommend Horseshoe Buffet.

I'd say we've got another month or so before Harrah's ships over all the sucky food from Grand/Harrah's. Once Paula Deen's opens there they'll have to use higher quality food.
