Huntsville AL and Tunica MS Jul 26th - Aug 8thI went to Huntsville to be with Donna when she had her second eye surgery. Both surgeries were a success and she has 20-20 vision in both eyes now. She went from being near-sighted to being far-sighted and now has to have reading glasses.
She had her surgery on Wednesday and on Friday we headed to Tunica. We got there about 2, parked and went inside to play the machines a bit. She checked with the hotel and got our room right away. After playing a short time we went upstairs to make reservations at the steakhouse for 5 p.m. We went downstairs then and played some more until time to eat.
After we got through eating, she went to the room and I went to get our luggage. I spent hours and hours looking for the car - well, it seemed like it anyway. I finally went to security and told them I couldn't find the car and they took me to look for. Right away I realized I was looking for it in the wrong parking lot. Found the car right away then. I drove over to the casino for valet parking and for the bell man to deliver our luggage to our room.
Saturday was a mad house at the casino. They were having their 14th anniversary or something like that. Saturday evening they were giving away 42" TV's every 30 minutes or so. The only machines easy to find were the $5 ones and some $1 ones. This was out of our price bracket so we went to the room early - about 8:30.
Donna said she did pretty good on the machines up until the last day. She thought maybe it was because she knew she wouldn't be back for awhile that maybe she wasn't playing that wisely.
Last time I went to Tunica I had good luck at the local casino here and had extra money to spend in Tunica. I was hoping to do that again this time, but it didn't work out. Consequently, I wasn't able to play the keno game I liked very long. I was anxious to try out my new strategy there. I was able to play it 3 times, but it only worked out once and that wasn't very good then. All in all, we both left with some money. I think Donna did better than me in that respect.
Donna had some free play and since I have been using her card the last few times I had gone to Tunica she split with me what we won with it. Our best play was on the Tiki Torch where we got 5 pearls - I think- won a $100 and got some free plays then and won more.
Donna was still recuperating so she wasn't able to play as much as she would have like. We got to her house about 8 p.m. Monday evening. I did driving both ways, so then she was recuperating from surgery, Tunica and my driving.
When I left Saturday she was starting to feel better again from every thing. On the way there I went through Atlanta. I did wave at Pam while I was in Atlanta. On the way back I went through Memphis. I though about leaving the airport and trying to hitch a ride to Tunica, but thought I'd better not and caught flight on home.
My daughter met me at the airport. She had brought my mail with her so we could go the casino and use our free play there. I did real good there and talked her into going to another casino where I could play the game liked. I did good there with my strategy and got 8 out of 9 again. That has been the 3rd time I've done that. Twice it has been on the same group of numbers. I had the money then to play in Tunica. LOL
I had a good time on my trip and was glad I could help Donna. I keep trying to talk her into moving over here or at least coming for a visit.

Geeze, I just asked for a trip report and here it is! You're a miracle worker. LOL. That's wonderful that Donna's eye surgery went to well, and the 2 of you had so much time to spend together. Sounds as if you had a good time, even if the winnings may have been few and far between. Good food, good company, and gambling---it doesn't get much better than that. Thanks for the report!

Keno, what a nice trip. I'm sure Donna loved having you there. Sure glad the surgery went great and the bonus is only needed glasses to read. Good for her!
I hate it when it's so crowded you can't find anything decent to play. Glad you both had fun and good times together.
Good win on the 8 out of 9! WTG

Keno, I was glad to hear that Donna's surgery went well, and that she was ready to hit the road shortly after. Sounds like you two ladies had a good time playing the slots. Just wish you'd both had a huge jackpot to take home, but it sounds like you fared pretty decently.
Got a kick out of you getting off the plane from one gambling trip and going directly to the casino before you went home. LOL That's the life, huh!
