The biggest mistake was coming home and going to sleep before I wrote this so I'm sure there's alot of details missed.

I decided to head out to Cherokee yesterday morning about 8:30 AM. Got there about 10:30 AM and thought I'd park in the hotel garage and avoid all the construction. So in I go.. first floor, all valet, 2nd floor all valet, 3rd floor all seven star parking.. this is getting redicilous. The 4th floor was open parking and was packed out so I ended up parking on the damn roof again. Silly me, after seeing all those cars parked around the garage I expected the casino to be packed out.. wrong, it was a damn ghost town... where in the hell were all these people?

I went in the back door and slipped into the non-smoking section to my diamond line bonus reel machines I can always seem to eek out a win on. Shoved a $10 in a quarter one and got this within a few spins.

Evidently 3 blazing 7's don't pay 1,000 unless they're in the diamond formation.. damn it. I snatched my $50 out of there and went down to the penny quick hits and even with hitting 15 spins or something I lost $20 in the blink of an eye.

I left the non-smoking area to the fanners and coughers and moved out into the main casino. Tried some VP and couldn't hit anything at all on $.50 and $.25 regular VP so I tried a Shamrock 7 for a minute and got the 7's on there in a full house hand and picked my pot and got paid $97 for a $1.25 bet. I guess the amounts your pot depend on what kind of hand you get the 7's in.. stupid carnival game.

I moved around to the front of the casino and found these new nickel Hot Hot Penny machines and got this in pretty short order.

Played that one awhile and cashed out about $300, moved to the next one and hit this on the first spin...

I was up.. way up by this point.. but I just got here!

I moved around playing this and that and mainly holding my own, put $20 in and get $50 or $100 out and play with that ticket till it went away. I headed back to the front area of the casino and found the Stinkin' Rich I tried earlier that wouldn't take money, it was ready for money now. Insert $20, 10 spins in I hit the bonus for 35 spins, 1 retrigger for 10 more. It could have paid much much better but the wilds wouldn't stop for anything.

That was pretty pleasing seeing as how I've never hit more than 10 spins on one before. So I moved back to the non-smoking section and thought I'll play some nickels for a minute, couldn't get the one I wanted to play to take money so I put a $50 something ticket in the one beside it and got this on the first pull.

For a cool 1600 nickels.. I moved back out of there pretty quickly and ran across a bank of extreme reel penny machines that were all off except the 2 on the end. I'd seen these games in Tunica before and they were always packed over, I see why now, these games are great. Here's one of the better hits. A bunch of 7's at 9X pay.

I'm not sure what I was betting but it wasn't much and that paid $290, so I moved my bet up to max of $3 and got all 7's except the last stop on the 3rd reel with no multiplier and got another $200+ for that hit. Played for another hour or so on that game and finally cashed out $250.

The beginning of the end happened after that. I started playing $1 and $5 machines, I hemorrhaged alot of money before I wised up and started playing lower denoms but it was too late by then, they had already turned the win switch off for the night. I finally tucked my tail and surrendered about midnight and zipped back across the mountains and got home a little before 2 AM and crashed.

I guess I could have left when I was +500 or +600 or even when I was $900 up but noooooooooooooooooo.. the good thing is I played all day and half the night for $200 and earned 1200 points to boot and that's what I call a good deal.

This trip sounds like a win in my book. You really got some good hits. Hope to see you hitting this good in Tunica.

Hey, Brian. Congrats on the good hits! Funny how that winning switch just "turns off" and there's nothing to do anymore. I keep thinking it will start picking up again too, but it doesn't seem to. If only we could learn how to walk OUT of the dang place. LOL.

Those were some real nice hits, though. I bet you were grinning from ear to ear when they happened.

Yeah....we all suffer the same mental problem of not knowing when to cut and run. You really had some nice hits and I know that was fun, plus all the points you racked up. Now keep the same karma going for Tunica. You'll get that W2G yet!

Hey Brian you should have made note of the date, time and machine and next time go play ONLY during that period! Seems like you had great luck for a short time. At least Cherokee din't do the scalping this time! One of these days I need to go back up there, just to collect my gift card.

Problem is the coupons are getting smaller and smaller every month!
