Quarter Wheel of Fortune HIT!I am soooooo sick of these WAP's hitting in Biloxi.
BILOXI, Miss. –At first, the winner was worried when the Wheel of Fortune® quarters slot machine she was playing Saturday night stopped making noise. Her concern quickly turned to excitement when she realized that she had just won the $3,306,261 statewide progressive MegaJackpot® while visiting the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi.
The winner from Purvis, Miss., was visiting the popular Gulf Coast casino for fun and relaxation when she won the huge prize. She had only played $20 before her win.
“This is the only place I play because I’ve always had a good feeling here,” she said after the jackpot was verified by IGT Technicians and Mississippi State Gaming officials. “My boyfriend told me that he was going to win tonight, but he’s very happy for my lucky win.”
She says that she plans to continue working at her current job and will put her new winnings into savings.
This is the third MegaJackpot® awarded in Mississippi this year, bringing the state’s total to just more than $17.9 million in 2009.
