Resorts Buffet-April 2008Had dinner there Sunday night and Breakfast Monday morning with mixed reviews.
Dinner Sunday Night-would rate at fair at best. Selection was limited and food was mostly bland and uninspired. We were there fairly early, before 6 pm, and the food was not fresh and most of it was overcooked. When I went to get dessert, I saw the machine said strawberry ice cream. I remembered having it there before, and it was good. Unfortunately, this time, vanilla ice cream came out, which was fair. I think I've eaten lunch at Resorts once and dinner twice and have yet to be impressed. I understand there are limitations on buffets, but there are MANY better choices in Tunica than Resorts IMO.
Breakfast Monday morning-I was very pleasantly surprised. We got there right at opening. 1st in line, as a matter of fact, as we discovered they don't begin serving until 8 a.m. There was the usual breakfast fare and it was pretty good. Lots of egg choices, which was nice, since they don't do any made to order or omelets. Overall, it was a very nice breakfast and I would recommend Resorts for breakfast.

I'm glad you reported on this Lynn............Resorts buffet has been one of our favorites for several years. I only remember one time it was below par and that was right before they were closing for the evening. I've also always enjoyed their ice cream. It's really, really cold instead of that soft mushy stuff you can get sometimes.
I just hope they aren't letting their quality slip.
