Well, it finally happened. We did a quick trip over to Cherokee Casino Sunday evening where I managed to bumble my way out of a top prize. Yep, I had been playing quarter JOB for a couple of hours and was doing well enough to hold my own, but not well enough to keep from getting bored. So, I decided to play out my last few credits with the hopes of snagging a full house or 4OAK, when I was dealt an ace and queen of diamonds. I held them and hit the deal button, and sure enough.........ROYAL FLUSH! I was pretty much floored too. Who hits a royal flush when they are getting ready to cash out??? And only has 2 credits in play??? ME, of course! I was way more than you could imagine ticked at myself. A royal is always nice and I was happy to see it, but it could've been better. MUCH better. Wanting to spare myself the embarrassement of anyone else seeing my low ball royal, I hit the cashout button and went to the bar to console myself, vowing to never again play less than max on quarter VP.

That was pretty much the big story for the night. I did cash out several decent tickets, mostly on penny's. Tried all of the two Stink'in Rich machines in hopes of having some of Lynn's luck, but could hardly score a credit, let alone a bonus round. I guess that game is Lynn's and Lynn's only.

I'm sure as soon as I am done grieving (probably by the weekend) I'll be ready to go back and hit that royal flush like a royal flush ought to be hit.

well at least it wasn't a 1 coin royal... I supposed you're lucky to not get a 0 bonus on stinkin' rich too.. BONUS COMPLETE.. I'd rather not get a bonus than to get a let down like that.

Ouch Lisa! I know that had to hurt. On the plus side though, you did hit a royal so now you know it's doable! Sounds like you had a pretty good time playing so that was a bonus. Royals only appear when you least expect them, and usually after you get disgusted with playing.

Next time you will play full coin and you will get a $1K payout, just have to patient, oh and have lots of money.

We'll be waiting to hear about the next one!

Oh No Lisa. I know you were just sitting there in shock. But...WTG on hitting a royal. You'll just have to go do this again....with full coin of course. We've all done a version of that and made us want to kick ourselves. Sounds like you had a fun time and actually got some play time so that was a plus.
You'll be posting another royal in no time.

Lisa, WTG on the royal. Sorry it wasn't full coin. You'll get em next time. Hey, those Stinkin Rich's are feast or famine. I've lost my rear on them many a time. When they play, they're nice. When they're cold, it's ugly. Here's to the next royal being full coin!

WTG Lisa!!! You did better than I did on my first royal. I only had one coin bet - at least is was a quarter machine. I was getting ready to call it an evening and I was happy with what I did get. This was in Laughlin. I did hit a jp with a flush on the nickle progressive at Sheraton several years ago. I think I got about $300.

Now you've gotten started on your royals you can work your way up to the progressive jack pots.

WTG on the Royal Lisa. Darn it anyway just when you think the impossible won't happen. I do know how you feel, been there done that and I swore I'd never play less than full coin on VP again.
