She Shoots, She Scores!Yeah, I know, I know. I wasn't going to go back to the casino before Tunica (except for the concert Wednesday), but Dave made me an offer I couldn't refuse. $500 to play with. He had to twist my arm for about 18 hours, but I finally agreed. LOL.
Got to the casino somewhere between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. We agreed to meet at 6:30 a.m. Got my soda and settled in to the 2 cent Stinkin Rich. Stuck $100 in it, played for quite awhile, but finally lost it. Stuck another $100 in it, and got a LOT of play, eventually cashing out at $120. Down $80 after a little more than an hour. Went over to my "favorite" nickel machine, and things started off slow. REAL slow. It was not looking pretty. Finally, with the 3rd $100 in there it started playing, and playing nice. Got that baby up to $1K. I was in a bonus at 6:30, so of course, but the time I finished, cashed in my tickets and went to cash my coupon I was a little late and it was about 10 to 7. I was happy, though, cause I could give Dave back his $500 and still was $600 up. ($300 for each of us).
They were having drawings this morning on the odd hours, and Dave decided we might as well wait until the 7 a.m. drawing. Heck, I haven't given him any money yet, and figure even if I spend the $600, he'll get his $500 back and I stilll won't have lost any of my own money!
Off to my second favorite Stinkin Rich machine, which had been very good to me at the beginning of the year, but has been forgetting me since. Things weren't looking good at all. It was looking as though I was going to lose the entire $600 within 10 minutes! Had the 5th hundred in there, and then it started to sing. Had it up to $200, then got a bonus for $1040! It printed out the ticket for the $1040, and I kept playing. Of course Dave was right there, and was saying "cash out" for the other $200. I asked him if he was ready to leave and he said no, so I said I wasn't cashing out. LOL. Well, I played and played on that $200, up and down, and eventually lost it. I still had the $1040 ticket, and one $100 bill. I thought, "what the hell, I'll stick that last $100 in there and still be up $1K for the morning". What a good decision on my part. Got that $100 up to $150, then I hit a bonus for 35 spins. Got the old lady with the wilds and several more really good spins, and at the end there was a message saying "Jackpot! $2547" WooHoo! I sent a pic to Brian, hope he got it.
The girl comes and writes up the jackpot and I told her to take the taxes out, and she verified that. I wait for about 1/2 hour and she FINALLY comes back, but she counts out ALL the money. I said "you were supposed to take the taxes out. I get killed on state taxes if you don't" She apologized and took it back to do the taxes. After taxes, I ended up with $1600+. I gave the amount over $1600 for a tip. Played the $150 in the machine down to $100 and cashed out.
Took the $100 and played Money Storm for awhile. Got the bonus about 3 times, but ended up just breaking even when I decided I wanted to play nickel Hotshots. There was a mistake. It sucked up that $100 and the $40 from the $1040 ticket in no time.
Cashed in the $1000 ticket and went to find Dave and get the heck out of Dodge. Ended up giving him back his $500, plus half of the winnings, so I came home with a cool $1300 more than I walked in with!
Moral of the story is: Play with Dave's money and don't listen to him. LOL.

Congrats on a great winning trip! Sounds like you had a lot of fun and made a profit at the same time. Most definitely a winning combination!
I went to Tunica last night, and played at Sheraton, Horseshoe, Gold Strike and Bally's. It was lose, lose, lose at each one. Glad to see someone else do good though!

Slimster, I recognize those casino trips. I have WAY to many of them. I don't post of all my losing trips to the local casino, cause it would be too boring and too depressing for me. Now Tunica, that's a different story. I don't get there too often, and it's always a fun time even if I lose, so there's a report when I go there.
Hope your next trip is full of jackpots!
