Sometimes ya gotta know when to fold emWell, you've already seen the pic, so here's the report.
I headed to the local casino at about 4 a.m. Checked my points, and I was about 11,000 short of making the Primo Black card for the next 6 months. I'm already Platinum. Have until December 15th if I choose to do it. Not too sure, guess we'll see.
Got a Diet Coke (1st win) and headed to the 2 cent Stinkin Rich. $200 in, nothing out. Moved to my favorite Nickle Stinkin Rich and proceeded to continue to lose. I already had $400 in it, but I just "had a feeling" about it and stuck in another $100. I had that last $100 up to $300, then down to $200, when I was thinking I should cash out. I didn't, of course, but this time it was a good idea. A few spins later I hit a 35 spin bonus! woohoo. Ended up with 4 retriggers for a total of 115 free spins and the taxable bonus of $1580. Had the taxes taken out, and tipped the attendant. Played my credits down to $100 and cashed out. I SHOULD have gone home ahead then, but nooooooooo.
Tried Diamond Jackpots, Shockwave Poker (that was a mistake. It was nickles, but the max bet was 100 nickles for single line), Hotshots, penny Stinkin Rich and 3 other Nickle Stinkin Rich machines all with no sucess. The only other machines I got ANYTHING on was a $100 profit on Quick Hits and a $100 profit on a progressive Bonus Blazing 7's nickle machine. I guess I TECHNICALLY got a small profit on the 1st 2 cent Stinkin Rich machine, but I really lost on it overall yesterday. I came back to it at the end, put in $100 and played for a long time, but lost it. I stuck another $100 in it and played for a REALLY long time and finally cashed out $400 that session.
I did manage to rack up another 4000 points, which leaves me about 7000 down, and I'm eligible for a "Win it Big Again" drawing Tuesday night because of the W2G. I'm trying to make myself understand that I really need to park at a quarter machine and slow play until the names are drawn. I'm not too good at listening to myself though. Bottom line, I left the casino down $400. I guess I WOULD have been up if I wouldn't have had taxes taken out and not tipped as well. Dave had given me $300 to go, so at least I was only out $100 of my own moolah.

Lynn, wish you'd gotten out of there in the black, but sometimes that's how it goes, I guess. It still had to be an exciting "stink'in" win for you. With all those re-triggers I can imagine how fun it was to sit back and watch the credits pile up.
Looks like you knocked a pretty good in your point balance too. I'm hoping when you go back to earn the rest you'll have some good wins while you're "working" on it. It's a job, right? A fun job.

Sorry Lynn that things turned so badly! Been there done that. I don't know why we can't be happy with a good win and go home, LOL. of course the casinos know this and that's what keeps the light on I suppose.
At least maybe you can win the drawing, BE STRONG, LOL. Do NOT move from that quarter machine.
Not for nothing..........but probably if you played the $1 to $5 machines your points would accru a lot faster, and they usually have a better payback then the nickel or penny machines. Not that I am advocating you play high limits, just might get your 7000 points faster with less volitility. Maybe?
Don't listen to me, I know nothing, LOL, if I did I would be rich and retired instead of poor and just hanging in there, LOL
Now go win that drawing!!!!
Cheers

Hey, Luna, I tried another foray into high limits yesterday. $100 in a 1 coin $5 machine. I think about 30 spins later I was broke. The $1 machines just don't seem to have the paybacks like they used to. I don't think they get as much play. I'm not talking big jackpots either, just enough hits to keep you playing at least, or smaller nice plays. The Stinkin Rich I won on was a nickle machine. I usually play 75 lines on the nickle on, so it works out to $3.75 per spin. Unless it's REALLY cold, I usually at least get some play for my money on it. The 2c machine is $2 a spin playing all the lines (which I do), so it's all pretty comparable to playing the $1 machines. I used to play almost all $1 machines until I just couldn't seem to get any hits on them. I've noticed that in Tunica too. I got tired of putting $100 in a 2 coin dollar machine and 25 spins later having $50 left.
