Hi, I am sure there are many people like me that go to the casino with a slot playing strategy. What strategy do you use? Does it work? Do you even use it or abandon it right away? Just curious..
I always try to use a strategy, but fall off of it right away.
I try to use the math in the head of win spins to losing spins and guess, keyword of when to bet max. What do you think?

I guess my strategy is pretty much keep sticking money into the machines until I win or go broke.  So far hasn't been all that successful.

Seriously, I usually have an "amount" I'm willing to stick into the machines and try to set a win/loss limit.  On 2 coin $1 machines, I usually play $50.  I'll alternate 5 spins using the max bet button, then 5 hitting bet 1, bet 1, then spin.  I don't think it really does anything, but it slows my playing down a little, since I play WAY too fast most of the time.

Lately, on Stinkin Rich, I've been trying a strategy of cashing out when I get up so high, then sticking another bill in if I want to keep playing.  Theoretically it keeps me from playing a good cashout down to nothing, but it's not like I don't know where the tickets are.

I guess the only strategy I have is when I put money in and IF I start winning I decide what I'll let it get back down to before I cash out.  If I win more I'll set another limit.

I also have an envelope with my money for each day, when that money is gone I'm done for the day.  That way I don't use all my money the first day and have to drag out a book to read. LOL  Who wants to be in a casino and not be able to play?? LOL

Yeah, I use the envelope system.  When I first started using it I had about 90 envelopes.  I've now gotten it down to one envelope per day for where I'm staying and an envelope for each of the other casino's I think I'm going to visit.  Oh, and a tip envelope too.

I had a new strategy today. Saying No. I had to drive to Joliet today and the car tried turning to go to the Empress, but I over powered it and passed it by and went on my way. HeHe

Strategy?????? There is a strategy?

I divide my money for how many days I'll be there.  That's about the only thing that is consistent with me, I have ideas then as soon as I get in the casino it's out the window.

I keep thinking if I'd just quit when I'm ahead...Oh no, that would be tooooo easy!

My strategy, if you want to call it that, is to just put the money in the machine, push the button and hope for the best.  That's really pretty much all you can do on a slot machine, other than money management.  I wouldn't really call money management a strategy, just good judgement... which unfortunately I don't use often enough!

Yep, Jean.  Looks as if we all have about the same strategy, which is no strategy. LOL.

I have found my people!

As far as the money management thing goes, I'm obviously a graduate of the "do as I say, not as I do" school of thought!  LOL

Pam, I think most of the machines don't have one, since I can't seem to locate it either!

Notice the date of GaPam's post.  I think that thing about the cash out button must surely be her pulling an April Fool's prank!
