Post subject: Losing Streak Continues

There have been no local trip reports for the last few weeks, because it's been nothing but bitter losing. Few, if no high spots.
Dave and I went last night, and the final result was no exception, although there were some interesting moments.
They had 3X points from 4-6 pm, so we were both going to play on Dave's card to see if we could bump him up to the highest level. We discovered, after the fact, that the triple points only are given on one card being played. I think I was getting them most of the time, then when I changed machines, I stopped getting them. I ran into Dave shortly thereafter and he told me he wasn't getting them until the end.
I went through Dave's money in pretty short order and into my own. Had some decent hits to keep me alive, but played them all back. I did manage to turn $100 into $500 on a nickel Stinkin Rich. Then another $100 into $300 on a $1 Double Triple Diamond. Went to another nickel Stinkin Rich and turned $100 into $300. By the time we went to eat, I had won my money back and given Dave back $300 of the $500 he'd given me. He was broke at the time.
We went to eat at the buffet. Nothing too special, just not impressed. It was "free" though, so the price was right. Of course I stashed away a half dozen cookies, some cake, and a bag of crab legs for a light snack later.
This is where the story gets ugly. I should have KNOWN not to give Dave back the $300 until we'd gone, cause now he had money and wanted to keep playing. Well, that keeping playing resulted in me going broke. I went to find Dave, and he did have a couple of bright spots at the end. He had a ticket for $270 something and stuck it in a 5 line $1 3X 4X 5X machine. Worked it up to $400 and cashed out. He'd already stuck $300 in the nickel Stinkin Rich I'd cashed out $500 on and given me $200 to play it, which I lost in short order. He decided to go back and play it. He was getting some nice hits which were keeping him afloat, but no bonuses. He said, "it just won't give it to me." I told him to have patience, that he'd get something, I could just tell. He was down about $35 on his ticket when he got the 35 spin bonus. He ended up with a retrigger for 15 more spins and cashed out a ticket for a little over $800 when it was all done with.
Finally, time to go home and lick my wounds.

Good report, Lynn....just not the kind I'd hoped to read. What's up with those machines, don't they know who's playing them?
Did you have some plastic bags, or did you just dump everything in Dave's pockets????
