Post subject: 10th Anniversary May 30-June 4 LAS VEGAS
10th Anniversary Double Feature!
Thanks to the recession and the evil empire, we actually made two trips to Las Vegas in one year! Unheard of! After we got back from my birthday trip, Harrahs was still willing to comp five nights at Imperial Palace for us. (?!?)
That , $89 airfares, and we talked two other couples into going with us---well, hell---we almost HAD to go back for our 10th anniversary.....Las Vegas was the scene of the crime in '99!
Our cast of characters included Pete’s sister & husband from Ohio(their 1st trip to LV!), and our great friends Eddie & Lauren. We all stayed free at IP. We went to the Peppermill twice—the first night and the last night. We had three other group meals—Ellis Island (for steak!). We had our first meal at Grand Lux—great place to eat. Also, we all ate & drank at the Triple 7 Brewpub at Main Street Station .We had the most fun on our Downtown trip Monday night. We rented a room at the Golden Gate for $20 solely to have a place to hang out at between light shows. This worked GREAT! We had windows that opened up overlooking Fremont and their 60’s hippie band. Everyone gambled some and lost. It was five nights & days of love, laughter, drinks, smokes, gambo, and very little sleep. A Fabulous Las Vegas time was had by all!

Tips: During the "Mariah Carey" "Dealertainer" segment, watch "Michael Jackson" dealing BJ, and "Toby Keith" dancing by----also, at the end of the Queen show, there's an Appalachian couple in the foreground having a domestic of some sort. The things you get by accident!! LOL

MORE movie! MORE movie! That was great Pete & Julia! I know you guys had a fantastic time. Glad you got to make a second trip in one year.

Pete & Julia, I thoroughly enjoyed the video and pictures!! That was awesome. I could tell a great time was had! So glad y'all got to go and enjoy your 10th anniversary there!
Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful video and the great pictures. I certainly enjoyed every pic and every moment of the video. It has been about 20 years since I was in Vegas and you certainly brought back some wonderful memories.
The Peppermill is a restaurant I believe near Circus Circus, am I correct? I remember eating there and being served HUGE portions of food. No one could ever finish their food.
I loved looking at the Fremont Street experience. That was great. Last time I was in Vegas the Bellagio was being built.
You definitely had a good time and I definitely had a good time watching you having a good time. Please share more when you have it.

Yes! You are right about Peppermill--location and portions!
Pete loves it there---we do enjoy the lounge, because it's never too crowded, they have VP, and the music isn't too loud! We call it "Geezer Lounge" --the only "ultra lounge" we semi-oldies like!

Happy Belated Anniversary Pete & Julia!
Loved the video, sure a happy group there. Looked like you were all having a blast.
I haven't been to the Peppermill in years, but I do remember the food was outstanding. I like your name for the lounge...LOL
