Post subject: Tunica Players Fall 2009 Meet Dates

After tallying up the votes from the multitude of opinions, the comments, and taking into consideration a certain person who voted for one option, then expressed a preference for the other (lucky I like this person a lot), the next Tunica Players Meet will be.................drum roll please.......
Sunday September Sunday September 27th through Wednesday September 30th.
Although no reservations have been made yet, it is likely that many of the attendees will split the stay with 2 nights at Fitz and 2 at Gold Strike. Sunday and Monday nights at one, and Tuesday and Wednesday nights at the other.
More details to follow as the time gets closer. Hope to see everyone there, and time to get the excitement level started.

Thanks Lynn! I will go ahead and put in for my vacation Saturday night when I go back to work! Now I have a date to look forward to! I can't wait to see everyone again...and don't forget...I will be bringing you a red velvet cake! LOL

Bobbie, it really isn't a lot of work. Our Meets have been so much fun, the best I've ever been to! It's really all about the people. We don't need fancy rooms, cocktail waitresses, lavish buffet setups, speakers, or prizes. It's a lot more fun to just get together and enjoy time with each other to talk and laugh.

Lynn, I sure agree with the meets being all about the people!
Maybe that's why we have so much fun and enjoy the time with everyone, because we don't fuss about all the frills and then feel obligated to the casino. Our way is free and easy and it sure seems to work for everyone...
We always said, you don't need a place to have a meet, just friends.

Yeah I think the last meet we had it took about 49 seconds to get together, just long enough to move some chairs and pull some tables together in the buffet and before that we all just congregated in a common area of the casino or hotel lobby or someones room.

| Yes...our meets are the most fun! I've been to both and I love ours so much better! I don't feel like I have to try to be someone I'm not! You can just be yourself, and have fun with lots of friends! |

Our meets are definitely the best ones I've ever been to. Who needs food set up in a meeting room...heck it seems like we are always eating as it is. ROFL You look at most of our pictures and we're usually in some buffet or eating place, eating, talking, laughing or groaning. LOL
And if we do happen to meet somewhere that's not an eating place...aw hell, I'll make sure I have a pack of crackers in my purse to hand to you if you get hungry. LOL
To me, it's all about the people. Just sitting around getting to talk and joke is what it's all about and meeting any new people that happen upon us. If we get hungry...we're just a few steps away from food any given moment. LOL

Jean and I have reservations for Fitz on Sunday September 27th and Monday September 28th.
We also have reservations for GS for Tuesday September 29th and Wednesday September 30th.
Brian and Stew's reservations have been made for GS for Tuesday September 29th and Wednesday September 30th.
