Since Dave and I were off today for the holiday weekend, what else to do but go to the local casino?  Got there at o'dark thirty, I think around 3 a.m. or so.

Things started off pretty ugly for me.  I was losing pretty good.  Dave had given me $500 and I'd gone through that, plus $200 of the $500 I had with me.  Decided I needed to get $300 from the ATM and take the $500 to my favorite nickel Stinkin Rich for a "last stand".  It ended up being a pretty good move, cause when all was said and done I walked away from that machine with $1400, putting me up $100.  I put my money aside including what I had gotten out of the ATM and went to another Stinkin Rich.  Got a lot of play, and I think I ended up about even, or maybe lost my $100 I was up.

Bounced around, and finally ended up at the nickel Stinkin Rich in the new section with $400 of the money Dave had given me left.  The wild ride started!  I put in $100, cashed out $200.  Put in another $100, cashed out $300.  Each $100 I put in, I'd cash out ahead until I'd put all 4 of them in.  It was still playing, and I was ahead, so then I started by putting in a $200 (my lowest ticket) in.  I just kept going and going.  When I'd get enough credits for a ticket at least $100 more than my lowest ticket, I'd cash out, then put my lowest ticket in.  Finally the fun ended, and I lost my lowest ticket, but walked away from that machine with $1900.

Should have left then, but nooooooooooo.  Kept playing at the casino, and playing stupid.  Good thing is, I did manage to walk out of the casino with $800 more than I started with, including the ATM money.  Gave Dave back his $500 plus $200 of the winnings.

And, the most amazing thing happened, that has only happened on one other occasion.  Dave and I BOTH left the casino up.  He was up $82.........hey, it's up!  He'd hit a smaller type W2G today, his first of the year.

I tried to tell him that we need to STAY AWAY from the local casino until after Tunica.  I'd really like to hold onto my money until Tunica.  Don't think he's biting on that, but I can try.

Lynn, what a wild ride! Rocky sure made the comeback on this one.

Tell Dave lightening doesn't strike twice often. So maybe laying low and waiting for Tunica would be a good thing!

Yeah right, like he's going to listen....

Congrats to you both!

What is a smaller type W2G? Is that smaller than the normal ones?

Lynn,

I am so happy to hear that you and your DH left the casino with extra money.  What a nice feeling.  If you continue to go to the casino I hope the winning continues.

WTG!!!

Bobbie

Congrats on your wins, Lynn.  I went to Tunica and stayed Friday night and most of the day on Saturday.  It was one loss after another.  I doubt I could have even got money out of an ATM, things were going so bad!

Played in the Firecracker 50,000 slot tournament at Horseshoe and didn't even come close to the lowest winning score.  It's times like this one that make me think about not going back!

Anyway, enough about that.  Again, congratulations and I hope you win much more in Tunica!

Thanks, Slimster.  My last trip to Tunica was like that.  At least the first day was.  It was SOOOO ugly.  I don't think I could have made the soda machine pay out.  It got better after that, and I ended up breaking even for the other days, but the 1st days losses kept me in the hole a little further than I'd have liked to be.
