Harrahs sent the happy postcard fly and stay for free.  Never took them up on it before but it was perfect timing so we grabbed it.  Stayed at the Veranda Hotel. Small rooms but clean and we only shower and sleep in the room so it was fine.  The whole shuttle system was a little suprising but works alright except for being the entree at mosquito world.

Had worked all day and did not arrive at hotel until 10:30 pm; only plan to play for a little while.  If only had followed the plan.  Could only lose, first night crazy set in and lost a bundle.  Finally hubby had enough, slept for about 6 hours, picked up rental car and off to see the sights. LOL

First stop Bally's played about 30 minutes ready to move on.  Only thing at the Sheraton we liked were ordering cocktails from the machines, pretty cool.  Over to the Horseshoe, Loved it even though at least half of the machines were down.  First time playing Star Trek and some kind of Phoenix game.  Won on both.  To GS loved this one also.  Played Monopoly, won, WOF, won, Red Hot 7's won; then moved over to the new Wizard of Oz; back down to even.

Back to Harrah's took a nap ate at Replays average bar food and average prices; no complaints.

Played for a little basically holding even.

In the morning we found our way over to Sam's Town not to my taste; over to HW.  Hubby loved it; don't know why, we should have just gifted our money to the valet and saved the time.  No play for the money.

Skipped resorts, over to the Fitz, played for a couple of hours, had the dinner buffet.  It was good for a buffet, however I do have to mention it was Friday night  billed as Lobster and Crab Legs.  We are from Florida and I swear that if you tried to keep a lobster that small in FL they would confiscate your boat.  Sweet and tender but three bites and that tail was history.  They limit you to one at a time.  So needless to say we wore out the carpet.  Good oysters and  fried fish.  Didn't  try much else.  Except the banana pudding; my advice skip the pudding.

Played for a couple more hours until it got to crowded to move around.  Back to Harrah's.  Played for a little while and finally started to win of course stayed long enough to give some but not all back.

Next day we stuck to Harrahs and Horseshoe played for a long time. no  big wins, no big losses.  Fun had by all.  Turned in the car. Caught the bus to the airport.

Already planning next trip.  Hubby likes Tunica better than Biloxi.  I agree, we actually felt refreshed when we got home instead of being exhausted.

Love your site. Sorry it report was so long and boring.  Hopefully will learn to hit just the hightlights.

Sounds like you had a pretty good trip!  I know what you mean about the mosquitos while waiting on the shuttle!  I too did the shuttle service once before, and the mosquitos were terrible!  Glad you had a good time and it sounds like you hit most of the casinos!  LOL  Enjoyed reading your trip report!

Welcome to the Forum, Spin!  What a nice entrance, a trip report.  I didn't find it too long or boring.  LOVE trip reports.  It sounds as if your first trip to Tunica was a winner and you had a good time.  I know I was hooked my first time there.  Thanks for the trip report, and look forward to further posts.

Welcome to the forum! You reminded me of the of the times we stayed at Harrah's, when it was The Grand, and took a few rides on the trolley. Best I can remember it was always a wild ride. LOL

Enjoyed your report. Glad to hear you had a good time and are planning a return trip.

Hey Spin, nice trip report I enjoyed reading it very much.  I just returned from a non-gambling trip to Biloxi and I do believe I like Tunica the best also.  The Grand is not a favorite of mine but I do love the Fitz, GS and HS.
Best advice I ever got was to always go to Tunica prepared for the mosquito invasion. I carry the foil wrapped Off Wipes, very handy.
Glad you got around and experienced the flavor of Tunica. A car is really required to do that. Nice that you went ahead and rented one for the first trip there.
Glad you enjoyed it and are looking forward to returning.
Drop in any time and chat. Welcome to the board.
